Glenda Rae Knickerbocker age 74 of Williams, died at her home on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, May 21st at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williams with the Rev. Gary Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Surls Funeral Chapel in Williams.

Glenda Rae (Davis) Knickerbocker was given life by her Creator and was born on a farm west of Buckeye, Iowa on December 10, 1940, the child of Lyle and Sybil (Knutson) Davis. Shortly after her birth, she received the gift of Holy Baptism at the Landstad Lutheran Church southeast of Williams and became a child of God. She publicly confessed her faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City and was confirmed, and received the precious gift of the Lords' life-giving body and blood. On March 19, 1960 she received the gift of a beloved companion in her spouse, Gary Knickerbocker. She was blessed with the gift of three children; Jacque (Knickerbocker) and David Read, Kirk Knickerbocker and Shawn Knickerbocker; and five grandchildren, Gary Knickerbocker, Brett Read, Ashely Knickerbocker, Laura Read, and Lee Knickerbocker.

On May 16, 2015 God blessed His servant, Glenda, with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus until the resurrection of the dead. In addition to her immediate family she is survived by her uncle, Milford Knutson; her nephew, Jeff Okland; her niece, Michelle (Okland) Randall; and a brother-in-law, Merlyn Okland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; her twin brother, Gene; and her sister, Darlene Okland.
