Funeral services for Arthur J. Downs, 51, former Webster City resident who died in an automobile accident near Cody, Wyo., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with Rev. Marilyn Buchanan officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Downs was fatally injured in a one-car accident Friday evening near Cody, Wyo.

Arthur James Downs, son of Archie and Hazel Urich Downs, was born June 13, 1933 at Webster City where he was reared and educated.

He was married to Darlene L. Clark, and the couple resided in this area where Mr. Downs engaged in construction work.

He is survived by three sons and three daughters: Michael James Downs, Marshalltown, Kathy Downs, Des Moines, Arthur (Sonny) Downs of Des Moines, Bobby Joe Downs, Mrs. Tom (Pamela) Harris and Darla Downs, all of Marshalltown; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elton (Deloris) Tempel of Kamrar, a nephew, Stephen Tempel, Kamrar, and a niece, Mrs. Tom (Susan) Konradi of Storm Lake, several aunts, uncles and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the United Brethren church.
