Helen Graham, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday April, 12, at the Southfield Care Center in Webster City.

Helen Eva Whaley, daughter of Frederick and Nina (Bailey) Whaley, was born September 23, 1918 in Webster City. She attended Webster City schools, graduating from high school in 1936. She married Leslie Graham on September 11, 1943 in Clarion, Iowa. They lived and farmed south of Webster City and later moved to an apartment in Webster City until his death in 2004. Helen taught piano lessons for many years, but remembered most as bookkeeper for Woodard Feeds south of Webster City.

Helen and her husband traveled through the 48 states, camping in 46 of them after retirement. She was a member of the Hawkeye Campers (Good Sam Club), and Faith United Methodist Church, where she was an active member of Hope Circle. She and her husband volunteered together delivering Meals-On-Wheels, working with the SHARE program and RSVP.

She is survived by one sister, Maxine Packard, two sisters-in-laws, Cleo Graham and Wilma Taylor and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother-Delavan Whaley, sisters Mildred Russell, Louise Alexander, Doris Nelson and her husband Leslie.

Memorial Services are pending at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City. Bruce Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
