Former Jewell Resident Killed In Farm Mishap

Robert Lloyd Heng, 44, a former Jewell resident was killed suddenly Wednesday morning in a farm accident on his farm located near Fairmont, Minn.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran church in Fairmont with the Rev. E.S. Ede of Fairmont officiating. Services will later be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Bethesda Lutheran church in Jewell with the Rev. Norbert Jolivette officiating and with burial in Evergreen cemetery at Jewell. Olson Funeral home of Fairmont has charge of arrangements.

He was born January 5, 1923, at Radcliffe, the son of Luella and Jacob Heng. He graduated from Jewell high school and attended Tuff College in Detroit, Mich. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and following that was employed at the Central Turkey Association in Ellsworth.

In 1956 he moved to Fairmont where he was associated with Stokley-Van Camp. At the time of his death, he was the manager of Stokley-Van Camp's No. 1 plant in Fairmont.

He was a member of the Grace Lutheran church in Fairmont where he was also a trustee for three years and (?) year. He was a member of the board of directors of the Lutheran Memorial Home at Medelia, Minn., and was also a member of the Fairmont golf club.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Harman, whom he married Sept. 15, 1946; one daughter, Terry; two sons, Ricky and Randy, all at home; two brothers, Dr. J. H. Heng of Truman, Minn., and Dr. Richard Heng of Aurora, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Rick Roseburg of Anadale, Minn., and Mrs. D. A. Tucci of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
