Mrs. Edward J. Meller passed away at her home on the east side, Sept. 6, after a year of failing health, but only being confined to her bed for one day.

She was 75 years, 3 months and 9 days old when she passed from these worldly cares.

Regina Hillemeyer was the oldest of ten children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hillemeyer and was born May 28, 1864 in Shullsburg, Wis.

She received her early education in that place and later, as a young woman, started a dress making shop there also. Later she moved to Galena, Ill., to keep house for her aunt.

June 9, 1891, she was married to Edward J. Meller, of Galena, Ill. In May, 1894, they moved to Webster City.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: E.E. Meller, Mrs. John G. Olson, Leo J., and Frank M., all of Webster City, and Mrs. Philip Tracadas, of San Bernardino, Cal. There are three grandchildren, Colleen Meller, George and Frank Tracadas.

She also leaves five brothers and 1 sister: Dr. W.A. Hellemeyer, of Chicago; Dr. Frank H., of Carroll; Albert, of Janesville, Wis.; Joe, of Webster Grove, Mo.; August, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. J.J. Jamieson, of Shullsburg, Wis. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral services were held Sept. 11, 1939, the Rev. Father F.J. Frein officiating, and she was laid to rest at the Catholic cemetery in Webster City.
