Mrs. Martha Young Lehnhard, 101, died Friday afternoon, March 16, at Crestview Manor where she had lived for the past four years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Martha Young was born April 18, 1877 at Lamoine, Maine, to Margaret Milliken and J. Watson Young. She came to Webster City with her parents when she was five years old.

She attended the Webster City schools and graduated with the class of 1894. Following her graduation, she attended business college and served as a legal secretary to Judge N.P. Hyatt.

On Dec. 27, 1899, she was married to Louis A. Lehnhard, who survives her. To them were born two daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Frank Snyder of Traverse City, Mich., and Mrs. Mary L. Griffiths, who died in 1966.

Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by two grandsons, Frank G. Snyder, III, and James Lehnhard Snyder, both of Saginaw, Mich., and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her two sons-in-law, Frank Snyder of Traverse City, Mich., and Griff J. Griffiths of Mesa, Ariz, and two nieces, Miss Thelma Young and Mrs. Julia Young Snyder, both of South Pasadena, Calif.

Mrs. Lehnhard was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Universalist church. She was a past president of the Webster City Women's club and also of the County Federation. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, having served as president of both Chapter EL and also of Chapter JE.
