Webster City Freeman, Monday, March 23, 1936

MELVIN HANSON DIES AT HOME IN DES MOINES

RANDALL - Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hanson received word from Des Moines Friday evening that their eldest son, Melvin, had died Friday afternoon at his home there.

He had been ill for the past year, but the past few weeks he seemed to be improving. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and one daughter, Lorene, 18, and one son, Harris, 15, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hanson, four sisters, Mrs. Ray Anderson, Mrs. Erma Paggett, of Randall, Mrs. Clarence Thompson, of Des Moines, Mrs. William Anderson, of Patterson, Calif., and one brother, Raymond, of Randall.

[Melvin Hanson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Hanson, was born at Randall, Ia., March 1, 1892 and passed away at his home in Des Moines Friday, March 20, 1936.

On June 11, 1917 he was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Alvestad of Jewell.

Burial was made at Mount Olive Cemetery at Randall.]
