Thomas Thompson, 81, of Ellsworth, died Monday at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames. He had been a patient there since Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran church in Ellsworth, with the Rev. Kearney Frantson, pastor of the Riverside Bible camp, officiating. Burial will be in the Homewood cemetery at Ellsworth, with military rites conducted at the site. The body will lie in state at the Becker Funeral home in Jewell.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Carroll Reisetter of Ellsworth; Mrs. Marval Melling of Badger, and Mrs. Anthony De Fimone of Rome, N.Y.; one son, Robert Thompson of Ellsworth; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Winters of Owatonna, Minn.; Mrs. R. R. Tracy of Denison; Mrs. Armyle Jacobson of Thief River Falls, Wis.; and Mae Thompson of Ellsworth, two brothers, William Thompson of Clifton, Texas, and Harold Thompson of Webster City; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister and three brothers.

Mr. Thompson was born Sept. 2, 1892 at Ellsworth, the son of John and Margaret Sexe Thompson, and was married to Maymie Sanford at Trinity Lutheran church Oct. 19, 1922.
