Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, Iowa.

Jane Croxell, 94, of Webster City, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Jane Elizabeth Lee, daughter of George and Ida McFarland Lee, was born April 13, 1920 on a farm near Lehigh. She attended the Cutting rural school east of Lehigh. On October 30, 1937, she married Earl Roland Powell at Stratford. They resided in Webster City. While Earl served in the U.S. Navy and she continued to live in Webster City. Following his discharge, the couple farmed near Kamrar for a short time. She was a homemaker. Earl died December 3, 1950. On September 3, 1960, she married Lee Albert Croxell at Webster City. In 1961, the couple moved to Fontana, Wisconsin. She had worked at the AJ golf cart manufacturing company. She worked for US Gypsum of Wisconsin for 25 years prior to her retiring. Mr. Croxell died November 28, 1987. She had resided at Crestview Assisted Living since August of 2014.

Mrs. Croxell is survived by daughters and son-in-law, June Newgaard and Kathy and Mike Baker, all of Webster City; sons and daughter-in-law, Marvin Powell and Suzanne Waite of Ellenton, Florida and Stephen Powell of Milwaukee,WI; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Fran Powell of Florida; son-in-law Ken Sommerfeldt of Janesville, WI; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jack Carlson and Melva Sommerfeldt; Richard Newgaard and Bruce Rollins; sons, Howard in infancy and William Powell; daughter-in-law, Rita Powell; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Luella Frye and Lorraine Wilson; brothers, Orville Lee and George Lee, Jr.; half sisters and brothers, James (Newt) Lee; Beatrice Fortune; Iva Goodrich; Edward Lee and two in infancy.

She attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
