George Abbas, 77, a former Kamrar resident died Thursday, April 4, at Camp Douglas, Wisc., after a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Monday, April 8, at the Lone Rock Baptist Church in Camp Douglas.

George Abbas, son of George and Tilka (Koop) Abbas, was born March 26, 1914 in Kamrar. On January 2, 1936 he married Dorothy Peterson in Camp Douglas, where he continued to live until his death.

He is survived by his wife, two sons: Dale Abbas, Monona, Wisc.; and Vern Abbas, Plantation, Fla., three daughters: Mrs. Leonard (Elaine) Anderson, Stillwater, Minn,; Mrs. Ralph (Dianne) Raveling, St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Albert (Maureen) Jacox, Racine, Wisc., 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and a daughter.
