Mrs. Oliver (Lois) Mechaelsen, 75, former Kamrar area resident, died yesterday morning at her home in Webster City. She had been in ill health the past seven years.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian church east of Kamrar, with the Rev. Norman FrerKing officiating and with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Foster Funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Lois Ruth Munson, daughter of John and Martha Brinkema Munson, was born Dec. 14, 1908 at Kamrar and was reared and educated there.

Prior to her marriage she taught in a rural Kamrar school.

On June 10, 1930 she was united in marriage to Oliver Mechaelsen at Kamrar. The couple farmed northeast of Kamrar until 1976 when they moved into Webster City.

She is survived by her husband; one son and two daughters, Lowell Mechaelsen of Webster City, Mrs. Philip (Lila) Berglund of Dayton and Mrs. Loren (Maxine) Jacobson of Jewell; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Lubertus Munson of Kamrar, and one nephew, John Munson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and for many years taught Sunday school and was active in church circle work.
