Debra Kay Hogan, 53, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Jan. 29, 2007 in Kansas City of natural causes.

She was born to William and Lottie Bergmeier Quail Pitts on June 12th, 1953 in Waterloo. She was adopted by Lawrence and Ethel Brackin in 1959. Debra graduated from Central High School in Waterloo. She went on to college and received a certified medical assistant degree. She married William Lawson in Freeport, Ill. They had 2 children, Jenny and Amanda, and were later divorced. She was then married to Tim Hogan. She worked at various nursing homes as a CMA.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Roosa of Webster City and Amanda Lawson of Little Amana. Four grandchildren; Zach and Dylan Lind of Webster City, Hannah and Kali Frazier of Little Amana. Two sisters; Gloria (Jack) Hockey of Washburn, Ruth (Henry) Berry of Waterloo, six brothers; John (Irene) Quail of Westaco, Texas Edward (Sharon) Quail of Applington, Robert “Jack” (Patti) Quail of Waterloo, Ronald “Mike” (Dee) Quail of Waucoma, William (Jodie) Brackin of Webster City, Terry Cantwell of Louisville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother and her adopted parents.

Services will be held at Linden United Methodist Church, 301 Butler Ave. in Waterloo, Saturday Feb 3 at 1 p.m.
