Vinie G. Schnell, 76, of Webster City, died Friday, January 5, 2007, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City with the Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Vinie will be buried with the cremated remains of her husband Bernard, who died in 1999. A fellowship gathering will follow at the Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Webster City. There will be no visitation. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge is in charge of arrangements.

Vinie Grace Bond, the daughter of Charles E. and Elsie (Woellert) Bond, was born March 15, 1930, at Colesburg, Iowa. She graduated in 1947 from Maquoketa Valley in Delhi, Iowa. She was active in basketball and helped lead her team to the state tournament. On February 24, 1952, she married Bernard Lowell Schnell at the Lutheran Church in Delaware, Iowa. The couple resided in Webster City. She worked at various retail stores where she was a friend to all.

Vinie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rory (Pete) and Roberta Schnell, of Webster City; grandsons, Chad (Heather) Schnell, of Webster City and Troy Schnell, of Williams; step-grandchildren,Ryan (Jody) Pruismann, Rhett Pruismann and Ralissa Pruismann, all of Webster City; her brothers, Gene (Carol) Bond, Preston, Minnesota; Dean (Greta) Bond, Delaware, Iowa; her sister Florence Carpenter, of Manchester, Iowa; her sister-in-law Martha Bond, of Elkorn, Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 11, 1999, her parents and her brother Arend Bond.

Vinie was a lifetime member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Vinie loved to go for walks along the Boone River Trail, have coffee with her many friends, and she was a collector of angels. She will be greatly missed.
