Harm H. Klaver, 54, a longtime resident of the Kamrar community, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday evening at his farm home four miles northeast of Kamrar. He had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian church east of Kamrar with the Rev. Marvin L. Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church.

Harm H. Klaver, son of Harm G. and Dena Lente Klaver, was born Dec. 13, 1913, on a farm near Kamrar and was reared and educated in the Kamrar community.

He was united in marriage March 10, 1934, to Esther Mamminga, and the couple farmed in the Kamrar community. In 1957, they moved to Webster City, then returned to their farm home near Kamrar in 1959.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Larry (Joan) Kramer of San Diego, Calif., Delmar Klaver, Webster City, and Lee Klaver, Kamrar; one granddaughter, Melissa Ann Kramer; one sister and six brothers, Mrs. Minnie Bates of Ames, Eilt Klaver and George H. Klaver, both of Kamrar, Fred Klaver, Iowa Falls, Ben H. Klaver, Blairsburg, Dan Klaver, Iowa Falls and Wilbur Klaver, Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harlan Dean Klaver, who died July 26, 1953, and by his parents.

Mr. Klaver was a member of the Presbyterian church east of Kamrar.
