Robert (Bob) Doyle received his wings on September 20th, 2014 at the Israel Hospice House in Ames with his family by his side and with the extraordinary help of the superb Israel House team.

Bob was born November 14th, 1933 in Williams, Iowa to Merle and Mary (Rip and Maime) Doyle. Bob graduated from Williams High in 1951 and then entered the Army for a fresh dose of discipline. Upon completion of his duty to his country he moved back home to Williams and accepted a position as a line worker at Franklin Manufacturing. While dancing at The Shady Oaks one night he ran into his future bride-to-be, Gale Hodson. They married in 1962 and over the next several years 1 princess and 2 rowdy children were born; Trish, Tanya and Ty. During Bob's time at Franklin Manufacturing he worked his way up to Production Superintendent. After 35 years of service Bob retired early at the age of 55 to hunt, fish, cook, mushroom hunt, garden, enjoy an occasional Kentucky Bourbon, and play the lottery.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Mary Doyle, Bernice Jaynes (sister), Kelley Butler (brother), and Maurice Butler (brother). He is survived by Betty Junewick (sister), Jerry Doyle (brother). Also still kickin are his wife Gale Doyle, children Trish (Dennis Durow) Doyle, Tanya (Ron Lappe) Doyle, and Ty (Chris) Doyle and 5 grandsons Benjamin, Zachary, Calen, Aiden and Sean.

A celebration of the life of Robert (Bob) Doyle will be held on October 4th, 2014 from 12-5PM at Kelly's Place on Main St. in Webster City. This will not be your ordinary funeral or visitation. Instead Bob would like his family and friends to stop by and enjoy a true Irish bash with food, drinks, music, and outlandish storytelling dedicated to a man who never let any grass grow under his feet!!
