Edward King, 92, longtime Kamrar area resident, died Sunday afternoon at the Southfield Care Center where he had resided the past 18 days.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ, Congregational in Blairsburg with the Rev. Marvin Camp officiating and with burial in the Liberty Center cemetery near Blairsburg.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home, until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the church.

Edward King, son of John and Louisa Elerding King, was born Oct. 23, 1883 at Kamrar. He was reared and educated in that community.

On Feb. 28, 1923, he was married to Nellie Oglesbee, and the couple farmed in Hamilton county.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters: Mrs. Edna Rodenborn of Webster City, Mrs. Donald (Leona) Greenfield of Kamrar and Mrs. Kermit (Arlene) Klaver of Jewell; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, his parents and three brothers.

Mr. King was a member of the United Church of Christ, Congregational of Blairsburg and was treasurer and trustee of that church for many years.
