E. ACKLEY, AGE 76, DIES

Was Widely Known in Blairsburg Community; Funeral Saturday

Edward Ackley, 76, widely known resident in the Blairsburg community, died at his home south of Blairsburg this morning at 4:50 o'clock.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Congregational church at Blairsburg. Burial will be made in the Liberty Center cemetery. There will be a service at the home at 9:30 o'clock.

Mr. Ackley is survived by his wife and four children, Paul, at home, Miss Sibyl, a nurse at the United States naval hospital at Great Lakes, Ill., Mrs. Claude Bedsaul, of Leeds, S.D., and Mrs. Al Beam, of San Jose, Calif. There is one brother, Dr. Winfield Ackley, of Juniata, Neb., and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Acker and Mrs. Josephine Snow, both of Fayette, Ohio. Three daughters and one son have preceded him in death. There are also two grandchildren, Warren and Opal.

Mr. Ackley was born in Fulton county, Ohio, and moved to Iowa 48 years ago settling on a farm near Blairsburg.
