GUY STEBBINS PASSES AWAY IN FORT DODGE
____
Twenty-one Year Old Son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Stebbins Succumbs to Death.
____

Guy Stebbins, a former Webster City boy, passed away at this home in Fort Dodge this morning following an illness of three or four weeks. Two years ago the deceased suffered with inflammatory rheumatism which left him with leakage of the heart. The latter ailment caused his death. His condition was so serious a week ago that he was taken to Rochester for an examination by the Mayos. Since his return home he gradually became worse until the end this morning.
The young man was twenty-one years of age the 10th of last November and was reared to manhood in and near this city, graduating from the Webster City high school with the class of 1912. He was employed in the Parkhurst and Lavender garage for some time and two and a half years ago accompanied his parents to their new home in Ft. Dodge.
The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will W. Stebbins, well known to Webster City people, and one sister, Mazie Stebbins, eleven years of age, are left to mourn the death of their only son and brother. Other relatives are his grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Stebbins, three aunts, Miss Mamie Stebbins, Mrs. Mary Krouskup and Mrs. Charles Tackett, and one uncle, Guy Stebbins, all of this city.
The parents and sister will accompany the remains to this city this afternoon and the arrangements for the funeral will appear in tomorrow’s paper (Webster City Freeman, 29 Aug 1916).
