Funeral services for Heyo J. Meyer, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran church with the Rev. Arthur Oswald officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church.

Mr. Meyer, longtime Hamilton county resident, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton county hospital. He had been in ill health the past eight months.

Heyo Johann Meyer, son of Dietrick and Folke Meyer, was born Aug. 21, 1877, at Thomasboro, Ill., and was reared and educated in Illinois. In 1902, he moved to Iowa, locating on a farm south of Webster City.

He was united in marriage in 1915 to Jessie L. Cornett, and they farmed in Hamilton county until 1924, when they moved into Webster City. Since 1938, Mr. Meyer had been making his home with his son, Harley, and had been active in farming.

He is survived by one son and two daughters, Harley Meyer, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Hadaway and Mrs. H. F. (Alice) Hutson, all of Webster City; five grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, W. G. Meyer, Webster City; Gerhardt Meyer and Mrs. Carrie Christians, both of Thomasboro, Ill., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donald, his parents, and one sister.

Mr. Meyer was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church.
