Funeral Rites for Veteran
Funeral rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at Williams for Theodore Maples, 37, World War II veteran, who was found dead Sunday afternoon on the East New York farm, south of Williams where he was employed.
Dr. George Paschal, county coroner, pronounced the death suicide by hanging. Maples' body was found about 1 p.m. Sunday by Eldon Triggs, also employed on the farm which is owned by the Meredith interests in Des Moines and is located about six miles south of Williams.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist church with the Robbins funeral home of Williams in charge. Burial will be made in the Kamrar Presbyterian cemetery with Rev. Cameron of Kamrar officiating.
The Webster City Legion will be in charge of military services for the Hamilton county veteran who saw duty for two years during World War II.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Gerald, 6. Also surviving is one brother who resides at Harris, Mo.
