Jesse Goodrich of Webster City was born July 23,1884 in Webster County, Iowa and died October 21, 1911 at his home in Webster City, Iowa making his stay on earth forty seven years two months and twenty nine days.
Jesse Goodrich was united in marriage to Lillian Stillwell March 25, 1891 and to this union were born two children, Ethel and LeRoy. Besides his widow and the two children to mourn his death are his three sisters, Lib Heck of Lehigh; Mary Dayton of Fort Dodge, Rebecca Holloway of Marshalltown and Florence Wilson of Minnesota.
All through his sickness of seven weeks he was tenderly cared for by his loving wife, who was guided by her highest understanding. What a blessed comfort to the dear bereaved ones to know beyond doubt that with him all is well. In disposition he was always cheerful and kind. He was a loving husband and kind father, and a good neighbor and citizen, a man of few words, but active in good deeds, proving his faith by works.
His one aim in life was to aid and comfort his family and his demise is most keenly felt by his loved ones;
