Grandma Johnson Dead--Mrs. Lucy H. Johnson, mother of the first Mrs. Maj. C. H. Harris, died at the family home, 1502 Superior St., Wednesday at the advanced age of 90 years. Grandma Johnson was held in high esteem by all who knew her, and was a woman of good heart and the most kindly nature. She had been ill for many weeks previous to her death and like a shock fully ripened, passed peacefully away to the land where troubles come not and the weary are at rest.
The funeral took place Friday at 2 p.m. at the family home with the Rev. Thrush conducting the services.

(Lucy Hayes Johnson was b. 25 Sept. 1809 NY d. 9 Sept. 1899 Webster City, IA; married to Geo. F. Johnson (b. abt. 1805 NY)
p/o Wilbur, Alaina, Julia A., Timothy, Goodall, Edward, George H., Samuel, Helen Maria Harris, Pheobe M., Amanda, John, and Joseph. George and Lucy appeared to be quite nomadic, first lived in NY and had several of their kids, then moved to MI where they had the next 2 or three kids, before moving back to NY. They then at some point moved to WI for a short time, a quick stop in IA before going to Joliet, IL, and then back to IA.)
