Alice Young, 94, longtime Hamilton County resident, died Friday evening [Aug 19, 1983] at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient for one week.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home with Don Basye officiating and with burial in the Troy cemetery south of Eagle Grove.

Alice Mae Young, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Spangle Williams [step mother- mother was Matilda VonNieda Williams] was born April 30, 1889.

She was united in marriage to Frank Young, and she had resided in the Hamilton County and Webster City area since.

She is survived by five brothers and six sisters: Lee Williams and Robert Williams, both of Woolstock; Albert Williams of Kansas City; Archie Williams of Stanhope; Ralph Williams of Rogers, Ark; Mrs. Anna Orr of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Elsa Coyle of Burbank, Calif.; Mrs Elizabeth Mills of Walla Walla, Wash.; Mrs. Luella Jotten of Fort Dodge; and Mrs. Gladyce Graham and Mrs. Rachel Harrison, both of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister [Mrs. Laura Richey].

She was a member of the Church of Christ.
