Monetta L. Branyord, 92, of Webster City, died Friday December 4, 2009 at Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Kroona and Rev. Tony Ede officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boman Funeral Home and Tuesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

She was born May 26, 1917 in Potosi, MO to John and Cara (Bandy) Strauser. Kermith Branyord and she were married on May 14, 1934 in Des Moines. The couple had lived in Radcliffe and Alden before moving to Webster City. The couple owned the K & M Laundry and Dry Cleaners from 1954 to 1970.

Monetta volunteered at RSVP and Southfield Care Center. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a women's circle member.

Survivors include: three daughters Donna Otto of West Des Moines; Vonnie and Paul Pruismann of Webster City; and Kay Ubben of Stratford; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; sister Wilma and Grant Moore of Oklahoma; brother-in-law Dean and Alma Branyord of Webster City; sister-in-law Gladys Branyord of Story City; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two great grandchildren, four brothers and one sister.
