OBITUARY: "J.M. Williams Is Dead At 82. Funeral Sunday in Woolstock at the Methodist Church. Woolstock, Iowa, July 26-- Josiah M. Williams, who would have been 82 years of age had he lived until tomorrow, died here early this morning at the home of his son, Lee. Troubles incident to age caused his death.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of his son, Robert, in Woolstock, and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church. Kubitschek & Kastler will be in charge.
Mr. Williams was born near Webster City July 27, 1858 and had lived around Webster City and Woolstock all his life, where he was widely known. He was married at Webster City May 18,1895 to Miss Sara Jane Spangle, who died in November 1938. There are 13 surviving children and 31 grandchildren.
Children are Mrs. John Harrison, Webster City; Mrs. Bernard Mills, Mountain View, Mo.; Archie Williams, Stanhope; Mrs. Bernard Coyle, Hollywood, Ca.; Lee and Robert Williams, Woolstock. Ralph Williams, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Enos Orr, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Clifford Richey, Webster City; Miss Luella Williams, Des Moines; Mrs. Howard Graham, Blairsburg; Albert Williams, Webster City, and Mrs. Alice Young, Gettysburg, S.D.
Since the death of his wife, Mr. Williams had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Graham, in Blairsburg, and had gone to Woolstock only two weeks ago to visit at the homes of his sons."
