Donald H. Crosby 80, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at home following a long illness. Private graveside services with military honors will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Hudson of St. Luke's Hospice will officiate. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Lora, two sons Douglas and wife Margaret of Cedar Rapids, and Kreg of Hiawatha, a daughter Devora Crosby of Cedar Rapids, two brothers Owen of Webster City, Iowa, and Victor of North Carolina, a sister Alice Atanasoff of Maryland, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew, and a great granddaughter Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Miriam and Marge.

Donald was born April 24, 1927 in Webster City, Iowa to William and Grace McConnell Crosby. He married Lora J. Hosler on June 5, 1951 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State in 1956. He served with the US Airforce during the Korean War. He managed several manufacturing plants before retiring.

Military honors by Hanford American Legion Post No. 5.
