Helen Lemon, 91, of Webster City, died Friday, August 31, 2007 at her home. Graveside services will be held at Graceland Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, with Rev. Dave Doerr officiating. There will be no visitation and arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Helen Elizabeth Rasmussen, daughter of Otto and Clara Christenson Rasmussen was born October 16, 1915 at Lakota, Iowa. She received her education in the Webster City school system. On December 29, 1932, she married Kenneth Franklin Lemon at Webster City. The couple

farmed near Homer for 4 years. They moved to Des Moines where Mr. Lemon attended Barber College. She had been employed at Hahne Printing for 29 years in the mailing department. She also worked for Blacks Unlimited (Greg Garwood) for 6 years. She then retired. Mr. Lemon died December 9, 1993. She continued to reside at Webster City.

Mrs. Lemon is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Janice Lemon of Fairmont, MN; Ron and Nancy Lemon of Fort Dodge; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and David Bahr of Boone; grandchildren, Mike Lemon and Pam Wedner of Longville, MN; Jackie Frank of Fort Dodge; Candace Noelck of Boone; Brenda Fretty of Fairmont; Rodney Bahr of Wichita, KS; Mark Lemon of Granada, MN; Chadwick Bahr of Fort Collins, 17 great-grandchildren; CO; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jeff Lemon; brothers, LeRoy, Hiram and Marion Rasmussen; sister, Rosetta Brock.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for several years. She also was a member of Webster City Senior Citizen Club and Congregate Meals. Helen was especially known for her tasty cookies.
