Todd Jones and Rev. Gerald Naber officiating. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery southeast of Kamrar. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Delia Alice Naber Van Langen was born August 25, 1913 on a farm in Liberty Township, northeast of Kamrar. Delia was the youngest of seven children born to Henry and Alice Lente Naber. Delia had three older brothers, Gerit, Eilt and Henry and three older sisters, Minnie, Grace and Dena. The family was close knit as they grew up and they continued the closeness of the family circle as they became adults and had families. They were raised with a proper perspective of God, home, family, church and country. Those beliefs were carried into action when their home lovingly welcomed a niece, Hattie and two nephews, Harry and Harm after the death of their mother.

In 1940, Delia moved with her parents to a new home in Kamrar, built by her brother-in-law, George Wessels. Next to their home lived her sister and friend, Minnie. Over the years they spent hours together over tea with other family and friends. They were never to busy to enjoy the small pleasures of life.

Delia worked at the grocery store in Kamrar and soon became the bride of Clifford Van Langen on September 23, 1952. They lived with Delia’s mother where Delia cared for her mother for many years. Honor thy father and mother was a commandment she and her brothers and sisters carried out faithfully.

Delia and Clifford had the opportunity to take many trips around the United States, but they could most often be found going for a ride to the 80 with their dog.

As the years passed, the family circle grew smaller and smaller, but Delia’s love and care for her extended family remained strong. Delia possessed a generous, caring and loving spirit and loved her Lord deeply. Her life indicated that her family, home and church were her main interests.

When Delia’s health began to fail, her home became Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Delia was a member of the Community Church in Kamrar.

Delia is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Norman Barth who was a gracious, constant and faithful caregiver to Delia.

Delia was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, on June 20, 1980, her father Henry, her mother Alice, and her brothers and sisters. Blessed be the memory of Delia Van Langen
