Rev. Frank L. Greenwood, 73, of Webster City, Iowa, died Friday, April 27, 2007 following an accident. Per his wishes, he was cremated. Memorial services are 1 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007 at Asbury United Methodist Church, Webster City by Rev. Peter Peterson. Internment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla of Webster City; Daughters, Diane (Max) Muir of Omaha, NE, Carol (Tony) Oduaran of Omaha, NE; Son, James (Janet) Greenwood of Firth, NE; Step-sons, David Bair of Littleton, CO Phil Bair of Denver, CO; Sister, Doris Lisle of Iowa City, IA; Brother, Art Greenwood of Clarinda, IA. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Margaret McFarlane Greenwood, and 6 brothers and sisters.

Frank Lester Greenwood was born November 5, 1933 in Bolivar, Missouri the son of John Lester & Leona Pearl (Clyde) Greenwood. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simpson University and S.T.M. Masters of Sacred Theology from Boston University. Frank married Margaret McFarlane on September 20, 1958 in Boston, MA. She died March 27, 1987. He then married Priscilla Ann Beal Bair on February 14, 1988 in Waverly, IA.

Frank served as a United Methodist Pastor for 39 years in the communities of Gravity, Bussey/Harvey/Tracy, Morning Sun/Yarmouth, Sigourney, West Liberty, Council Bluffs Fifth Avenue & Dayton/Harcourt, Iowa. The men’s bible study was very dear to his heart and was the highlight of each week for him. He felt loved and nurtured by sharing with the men. Frank loved fishing and being at his cabin. During his years of ministry, he had a tremendous impact on youth and working with them was a great joy of his. Frank was known for his generosity and his loving spirit. He touched many people’s hearts over the years and lived the life of love that he taught. His friends meant everything to him and his family knew of his great love for them. He will be missed by many.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 921 Des Moines, St., Webster City, Iowa 50595
