Francis Park, 72, of Webster City, died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Torger Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191.

Francis Allen Park, son of Howard and Fern Trinkle Park, was born May 6, 1931 at Webster City. He attended Webster City schools graduating from Lincoln High in 1948. From 1952 to 1954, he served with the U.S. Army Cavalry during the Korean War as a supply sergeant. Following his discharge, he purchased and operated the Mobil Service Station on West Second Street for 3 years. On December 13, 1956, he married Naomi Tempel at Omaha, Ne. The couple resided at Webster City. He worked at Franklins (Electrolux) for 10 years, as a line foreman and also operated a washer/dryer repair service out of his home. For 30 years, he was employed at Kueen’s Trailer Ranch, retiring in 2002.

Francis is survived by his wife, Naomi; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Bradley Park, Kevin and Debra Park, daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Mike Christensen, all of Webster City; grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Chad and Jacob Park; Alexandra Christensen; brother, Lyle Park of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Donald Park.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.
