RoJean Arlene Spore, 67, 2417 Deborah Drive SW, Cedar Rapids, died at Mercy Medical Center, Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, after a sudden illness. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel by the Rev. William Harnish. Private Burial. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and after 9a.m. Friday.

RoJean is survived by her husband, Myron; a daughter, Carolyn (Randall) Rubner of Newhall; four sons, Franklin Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Stephen (Tammy) Michalec of Middle Amana, Mark (Amy) Michalec and Lonnie Michalec, all of Cedar Rapids; mother, Velma Pelz of Blairsburg; sisters, Judi (Ron) Claude of Woolstock, and Betty Jo Mastin of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, Donald (Deanne) Pelz of Ankeny; three sisters-in-law, Deanna B. Volsky, Francis Carney, and Paulette Hoover, all of Cedar Rapids; twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Desiree, Sheena, Destinee, Jordan, Blake, Erica, Benjamin, Alexa, Sam, Sarah, and Annie; two great grandchildren, Jermy and Matthew; also, an uncle, Darwin (Cleone) Pelz of Blairsburg; two aunts Maxine (Ward) Clemmo of Pyallup, WA. and Helen Pelz of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Pelz; brother, Raymond Pelz; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Mary Spore.

RoJean was born on Dec. 10, 1940 in Webster City to Wendell and Velma Pelz. She married Myron Spore on Feb. 26, 1977 in Cedar Rapids. RoJean worked for Iowa Workforce Development for over 30 years, retiring in May, 2005. She had many hobbies which included photography, gardening, tanning, and shopping. She loved animals and the outdoors. RoJean's greatest love was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a best friend to many.
