Monte Paul Losen, 58, passed away Oct. 27, 2008. He was born to Fred and Virginia Losen in Decorah, Iowa on Nov. 14, 1949. Monte was married for 27 years to his best friend Mary Jo (Patten) Losen. Monte worked for McKesson Corporation for 17 years as a sales representative. Monte and Mary Jo lived in Iowa before settling in Omaha in 1987.

Monte volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and true Iowa Hawkeye fan. He also enjoyed riding in his 1975 Corvette convertible and playing with his granddaughters Gwen, Helena and Vivienne. Monte is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Losen. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo and children, Rachel (Sean) Wolfe, Keri (Kimmo) Fuller, Emily Losen and Alex Losen; 3 grandchildren; brother, James (Julie) Losen; other relatives, nephews, nieces, and great friends. Monte was loved by many and will be missed, especially by his dog, Bailey.

Services are Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Omaha,Neb. Wake service is Wednesday at 7 pm at John A. Gentleman Pacific Street Mortuary, 14151 Pacific Street, Omaha, Neb.
