Patsey R. Wells, 72 of Webster City, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at the Hamilton Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Duane LaCock officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Patsey Ruth Jones, daughter of Jesse and Etter Petty Jones, was born Oct. 2, 1930 at Waco, TX. She received her education at Bakersfield, CA. On Jan. 17, 1956, she married Francis Lee Wells at Downey, CA. The couple resided at Webster City. She had been employed at Modern Cleaners, McMurray Hatchery for 20 years and the Video Store as manager. She retired in 1987.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband, Lee; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Bucci of Brighton, CO; Lana-Chere and Gary Briggs of Webster City; Debora and Douglas Knudson of Olivia, MN; step-daughter, Beverly Wells of San Bernardino, CA; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Jones of Lamont, CA; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Women of the Moose.
