Hilda Loux, 94, of Webster City, died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Crestview Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Grebner and Doug Tiffany officiating. Burial will be in the Grange Cemetery at Honey Creek, Iowa. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
Hilda Adelia Voss, daughter of Carl and Margretha Rebehn Voss was born Oct. 11, 1908 on a farm south of Logan, Iowa. She attended a rural school in Boomer Township of Pottawattamie County and BeeBeetown Consolidated School at BeeBeetown. She taught in rural schools in Pottawattamie County. On June 12, 1929, she married William Christians. The couple farmed in Pottawattamie County. In the early 1930's, they moved to a farm near Goldfield, then to a farm west of Woolstock. They later bought a farm northeast of Woolstock. Mr. Christians died Jan. 16, 1972 and she moved to Woolstock. On Dec. 4, 1976, she married Lawrence Elmer Loux at Woolstock. The couple resided at Webster City. Mr Loux died Sept. 5, 1996. She moved to Crestview in Sept. 1999.
She is survived by a niece, Shirley Noyes of Chicago, Il.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nellie Mackland, Emma Voss and Helen Sorenson; brother, Arthur Voss.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was involved in many church activities.
