Margaret Bahrenfuss, 80, of Webster City, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Willer officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the

Faith United Methodist Church from 5-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Margaret Marie Hansen, daughter of Holger and Florence Shafer Hansen was born October 21, 1927 at Webster City. She grew up on a farm between Williams and Radcliffe. She attended Rose Grove # 6 rural school and graduated from Radcliffe Public High School in 1945. She attended Normal School and taught in rural schools for 7 years. On June 28, 1949, she married Robert Buryl Bahrenfuss at Webster City. The couple farmed the Bahrenfuss home place for 2 years then rented a farm in Wright County for several years. In 1962, they moved to a farm 2 miles north of Stonega. Mr. Bahrenfuss died September 23, 1976. In 1978, the family moved to Webster City.

Mrs. Bahrenfuss is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Vicki Brueggen of Cashton, WI; Linda and Pat Foley of Webster City; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Tonette Bahrenfuss of Webster City, Daniel and Debra Bahrenfuss of Webster City; Brian and Rene Bahrenfuss of Pope Air Force Base, NC; grandchildren; Ryan and Julie Foley; Brandon, Brooke, Benjamin and Dennis Bahrenfuss; a great-granddaughter, Breanna Bahrenfuss; 7 step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Donna Hansen of Praire City; Wilbur and Elaine Hansen of Ankeny; Kenneth and Shirley Hansen of Turin; sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Robert Schweibert of Webster City; Ruth and Robert Cook of Iowa Falls; Clara and Laverne Bell of Woolstock; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cora Ann Hansen and a brother in infancy.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church; former district officer for U.M.W.; Ecumenical Board member; involved in many church activities; Sunday School teacher; Triple L member; mission work; Love Circle; Quilters group and an Elderbridge board member. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, traveling and spending time with her family
