LaDora R. Shupe, 76, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Martens officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Chariton Memorial Park Cemetery, Chariton, Iowa. Serving the family is the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home.

Surviving are her children, Dan Shupe, Lora Kramer and her husband Marvin of Steamboat Rock, IA, Debra Shupe of Fort Dodge, Will Shupe and his wife Cheryl of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Kate, Emily, and Ben Shupe, Jill Kramer, Kris Hoskinson; brother Raymon Wilder of Bellevue, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Raymond W. and Edwina (Johnson) Wilder; and her husband Paul R. Shupe.

LaDora Ruth Wilder was born June 26, 1931 in Stanhope, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Stanhope and graduated from Stanhope High School in 1948. Following her education, she became employed for Iowa State University and worked there for seven years. On May 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Paul R. Shupe, and they shared 51 years together. They established their home in Webster City in 1957 and in 1972, they moved to Fort Dodge. LaDora was a homemaker most of her life.

For many years, she graciously volunteered her time and talents serving with the Willing Workers at Grace Lutheran Church. Her heartfelt dedication to helping others brought her much enjoyment throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Grace Lutheran Church or Trinity Hospice of Fort Dodge.
