Etta E. Hassebrock, 94, of Webster City, died Friday April 20, 2007 at Crestview Senior Living in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Community Church in Kamrar with Rev. Todd Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery east of Kamrar.

Etta Ellen Van Langen, daughter of Lewis and Anna Greenfield Van Langen, was born July 31, 1912 at Kamrar. She attended rural Kamrar area schools. On Oct. 19, 1935, she married Ervin Kenneth Hassebrock. The couple farmed southeast of Kamrar. She had worked for the Kamrar Telephone Company. In 1955, she started working at Morton Frozen Foods in Webster City, later working at the Ellsworth Turkey Plant and provided home health care for Mrs. Bina Trampel. Mr. Hassebrock died November 12, 1952. She had resided at Southfield for the past 4 years.

Mrs. Hassebrock is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Kendall and Annalea Hassebrock of Jewell; Lewis and Sharon Hassebrock and Maurice and Donna Hassebrock, all of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and John Wurch of Webster City; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; adopted brother, Irvin Nissen of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Leonard, Elmer, Lewis and Wilbur Van Langen.

She was a member of the Kamrar Community Church and was active in the Church Circles and Sewing Circle.
