Daily Freeman Journal - April 20, 2007

Patricia Hanson, 65, of Webster City, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Edward A. Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.

Patricia Lynne Clausen, daughter of James and June Smith Clausen, was born November 16, 1941 at Laramie, WY. She graduated from Goldfield high school in 1960. She worked at the Clarion Hospital. On August 29, 1964, she married Jay Darold Hanson at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple resided at Stanhope. She worked as a nursing assistant, congregate meals site manager at Stanhope and homemaker. They moved to Webster City in 1992. Mr. Hanson died November 19, 1997.

Patricia is survived by son, Rick Hanson of Fort Dodge; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Phil O’Connell of Webster City; Kris and Rod Kern of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Emily and Chapin Hanson; Matt, Jenny, Jessica, David, Mary and Noah O’Connell; Brady and Benton Kern.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in Women’s Circle.
