Lois E. Williams, age 77, of Williams, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the Surls Funeral Home in Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Lois Esther (Polzin) Williams was born October 15, 1929 at Alden, Iowa the daughter of Ernst and Esther (Bork) Polzin. She received her education in local rural schools and graduated from Alden High School in 1946. Lois was united in marriage to Dean Williams on December 28, 1949 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden. Lois had worked at Williams Savings Bank, Hamilton Manufacturing in Webster City and Barker, Hansen and McNeal Law Firm in Iowa Falls. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden where she had served as Church Secretary. Lois enjoyed bowling and bingo in her spare time.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Williams, Williams, children, Dennis Williams and wife Becky of Orlando, FL., James Williams and wife Jonell of Palm Harbor, Fl., Jon Williams of Largo, FL., Jill Niemann and husband Mike of Wayne, NE. and Kurt Williams and wife Mimi of Trinity, FL.; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Mick Kramer and husband Merle of Steamboat Rock, IA.; two brothers, Ed Polzin and wife Charlene of Marshalltown, and Richard Polzin and wife Sue of Alden. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Paula and Wilma Polzin; a brother, Harold and a son, Steven.
