Inez Lulu Wierson, 84, Story City, died April 15, 1990, of a heart attack at mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland with the Rev. Conrad Rolland officiating. Mrs. Robert Eischen will be organist and Harris Twedt, Jr. will be the soloist. He will sing "The Lord's Prayer" and "My God and I". Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery. Lulu was born Jan, 30, 1906, in Hamilton County to Iver J. and Anna (Bergland) Hia. She married Silas Wierson in 1938. He died Nov. 7, 1966. She moved to Story City in 1987 from Roland where she had resided since her marriage. Survivors include a son, Dale Classon of Roland, two daughters, Sharon (Roger) Christianson of Austin, Minnesota and Roberta (Jack) Gutmann of Ames; two sisters, Alice (Ben) Mortvedt of Story City and Olava (Lloyd, Sr) Buckels of Jewell; a sister-in-law Alma Erickson of Story City; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Obert, Selmer, John and Arnold Hia, and one sister, Anna Anderson. Visitation will be held at the Soderstrum Funeral Home in Roland after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
