Thelma Bentley Jensen, 84, Webster City, died Monday, August 4, 2003 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday.
Thelma Lucille Heidick, daughter of Harry and Nina Klein Heidick, was born July 14, 1919 at Webster City. She received her education in rural schools south of Webster City. On November 9, 1935, she married Elwood Francis Bentley at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City. She was a homemaker. Mr. Bentley died December 12, 1980. In 1986, she married Vern Jensen at Minnesota. The couple resided at Zumbrota, Minnesota, Bolivar, Missouri and Webster City. Mr. Jensen died in 1994.She had resided at the Southfield Wellness Community since August 2000.
Mrs. Jensen is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Elwood and Barbara Bentley, Blue Earth, Minnesota, Clair and Mary Bentley of Webster City, daughers and sons-n-law, Pat West of Duncombe, Virginia and Fred Nulle of Webster City; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Nelson of Fort Dodge; Nina Batcheller of Littleton, Colorado; brother, Harry Heidick of Dolan Springs, Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Johnny West; grandson, Michael West; brother, James Heidick; sisters, Helen Jensen and Hester Bentley.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
