Lander, WY - Memorial Services for Harold Eugene Boone, 91, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, in Lander by the Rev. Gene Hagerman of First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow in Hudson Cemetery.

He died Oct 7, 2002, in Westward Heights Care Center. Born Nov 7, 1910 in Flugstad, Iowa, he was the son of Ohio Milan and Libby Olmstead Boone. On August 2, 1947, he married Dora Maria Vesco in Grand Junction, Colo. An Ironworker for most of his life, he was based out of Iron Workers Union Local 24 in Denver. He helped build the atomic energy plant in Hanover, Wash., as well as many buildings in Denver.

After an injury on the job, he and his wife moved to Misouri and owned a dairy farm. They moved to Lander in the early 1970's.

He was past master of the Masonic Lodge of Lander; a member of Lander Shrine Club and involved in all of the Scottish Rite Bodies; and helped with DeMolay and Job's Daughters and anything to do with children.

His interests included fishing, being in the outdoors, fixing things, and telling stories and jokes.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years; son, Joe Vit of Lander; sister, Opal Graham of Canon City, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death byh his paretns, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Childrens's Hospital of Salt Lake City, in care of Hudson's Funeral Home, 680 Mount Hope Drive, Lander 82520
