Found this Obit for John D. Johnson mixed with my family obits hope it helps someone. I think it is from the Jewell Record Newspaper.

JOHN D. JOHNSON DIED SATURDAY P.M.

John D. Johnson resident in the Jewell commmuntiy for about sixty years, died at his home in Jewell at 6:05 o'clock Saturday afternoon. His death followed a sickness of only two days.

The funeral service was held at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, the pastor, Rev. M.E. Neese officiating. Singing at the service included a solo by Willam Buckels and a duet by Doris Abrahamson and Juanita Cole; Mrs. Harry Harmon accompanied the singers. Burial was in Evergreen cememtery in Jewell.

Six longtime friends and neighbors served as honorary pall-bearers: Severt Rullestad, Nels Ostrem, William Buckels, Hans Bakema, Benjamin Munson and H.L. Henningson. The casket-bearers were: Magnus Johnson, Anton N. Peterson, Henry S. Maland, Chris Vesperstad, Lyle McDonald and Casper Stenberg.

John D. Johnson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Johannes Johannessen Hustvedt. He was born in Illinois May 20, 1863 and died May 24, 1947 at the age of 84 years, 4 days.

He married Ranvey Kloglan in Illinois, in October, 1882. His wife preceded him in death, March 11, 1921. Of the nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, six daughters survive him: Mrs. Raleigh Fulp of Webster City, Miss Lillian Johnson of Ames, Miss Mabel Johnson, of Jewell, Mrs. John Sjurson of Ames, Mrs. Alvin Swanson of Burlington, and Mrs. John Narem of Webster City. He is survivied also by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson was engaged all of his life in farming, until he retired about fifteen years ago. He was baptized and confirmed in Lutheran faith and was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church of Jewell.
