Well Known Duncombe Woman Dies of Pneumonia-Daughter of Mrs. Geo. Ely

WEBSTER CITY GIRL

Funeral Will be Held Tomorrow Afternoon at Duncombe.

Mrs. E.F. Callery of Duncombe, daughter of Mrs. George Ely of this city died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock of pneumonia, following an attack of Spanish influenza. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at the Catholic church in Duncombe and burial made there.

Miss Laura Ely was born in Webster City some thirty-five years ago. She attended the schools here and eleven years ago was married to E.F. Callery, a prominent banker and land owner at Duncombe. Five children were born to this union, as follows, Warren, aged 10; Charles aged 8; Carrie, aged 7, and Lauretta and Marguerita, twins aged 6. The husband, her mother, and the following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. George Lewis of Eagle Grove, John, Al, and Miss Atta, all of this city.

Mrs. Callery had been sick only about a week. the best of care and medical attention had been given her, but all to no avail. Mrs. Callery was widely known in Webster City, having been born and reared here. She was a woman of rugged health and had always been active in her home town in its community and social life. A host of warm friends here extend to the sorrowing family their deepest sympathy in this hour of their great affliction.
