Mrs. William Anderson, resident of Hamilton county since 1870 and one of Jewell's honored pioneer citizens, died last Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Story City Hospital, at the age 83 years, 7 months, and 12 days. She had been in poor health since 1926, suffering from diabetes which of late have been complicated with hardening of the arteries and other ailments incident to her advanced age.

The funeral service was held at the Federated church in Jewell Monday afternoon at two o'clock, the pastor, Rev. Kenneth E. McDaniel, officiating. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery. At the service Mr. Albert Olson sang two solos, accompanied by Mrs. J.B. Harris at the organ. Those serving as pall bearers were Fred Bonner, Roy Bonner, John Bonner, Wm. Voss, Edw. Montgomery and E. W. Knudson.
