I found this in a 2005 Daily Freeman Journal. I am not related, but thought someone may find information helpful.

Lionel W. Nicholson, 92, Webster City

Lionel W. Nicholson, 92 of Webster City, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Caquelin, officiating. Burial will be in the Blairsburg Cemetery north of Blairsburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m.
Lionel Willis Nicholson, son of Willis and Bernice McDaniel Nicholson, was born July 31, 1912 on a farm north of Blairsburg. He attended a rural school in that area. He started farming with his father. On December 24, 1934, he married Mary Berleen at Webster City. The couple farmed in Wright County and also in Hamilton County. He had farmed for 59 years. The couple moved to Webster City in November of 1996.

Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dr. Richard Hoadley of Kewadin, MI; grandchildren, Willis and Lori Nicholson of Lehigh; Mary and Duane Kiesecker of Gilmore City and Rebecca Hoadley of Honaker, VA; Sara Hoadley of Kewadin MI; great-grandchldren, Amber, Travis, Brandon, Trevor, Smantha, James and Gabriel; brother, Jack Nicholson of Stanhope; sisters, Lila Smith of Belmond; Ionia Dinsdale of Webster City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Donald Lee Nicholson and Wendell E. Nicholson; daughter-in-law, Patricia Nicholson; brothers, Wendell, Richard and Glen Nicholson.

He held former memberships in the Mulberry Center Church and the Faith United Methodist Church, Hamilton County Farm Bureau, I.O.O.F. Lodge, Woolstock Cooperative, and had assisted in 4-H and F.F.A projects.
