Mrs. H. E. Crouch

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 28, at Foster's funeral home for Mrs. H. E. Crouch, 65, who died early Christmas morning at the home of her son, Orrin Crouch, in this city.

In poor health for several years Mrs. Crouch had been bedfast for several months.

Zoa Luella Taylor, daughter of Chester and Eva Taylor, was born Jan. 31, 1881, near Huron, South Dakota. When she was seven her family came by covered wagon to Hamilton county and started farming. She was educated in the rural schools and grew to young womanhood in this county.

She was married March 21, 1900 to Hermie E. Crouch at Fort Dodge and the couple farmed in Hamilton and Webster counties until 1925. At that time the family moved into Webster City which has been their home since.

Mrs. Crouch was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, tow daughters, Mrs. John Robb and Hazel Irene Crouch, and by one brother, Albert Taylor.

Survivors include five sons and four daughters: Calvin, Walter, Orrin and Laurence, all of Webster City; Carl of Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. A Cocchetti, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Richard Dingman and Mrs. Cecil Gramblin, both of Webster City, and Mrs. Gene Claude, of West Bend. There are 22 grandchildren surviving in addition to two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Della Frederickson, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Ed Hoover, of Duncombe; Robert Taylor of Fort Dodge; Guy Taylor of Lehigh; and Herman Taylor of Webster City.

As a young girl she was baptized in the Christian faith. She was a member of the United Service women and active in that organization. Friends knew her as a good neighbor and one whose family was her main interest in life.
