St. Mary's Catholic church at Williams afforded the setting for a pretty summer wedding Wednesday, when Miss Catherine Gleason, daughter of Mrs. M.J. Gleason, of Blairsburg, became the bride of Mr. LeRoy B. Maubach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Maubach, of Williams.

Promptly at 8 o'clock the bridal party marched down the aisle as Mrs. Harold Sterling played Lohengrin's Wedding March. The bride proceeded to the alter on the arm of her brother, Mr. Theodore Gleason, where she was met by the groom. Miss Sadie Gleason served her sister as maid of honor, while Mr. William Maubach, brother of the groom acted as best man. As the solemn and impressing single ring service was read by the Rev. Father O'Meara, W.J. Foran sang, "I Love You Truly" and "Oh, Promise Me." During the nuptial mass, the soloist, sang "Ave Maria."

The bride was charming in a dress of Baroda crepe in cocoa shade, hand embroidered in a floral pattern. Her accessories were in harmonizing colors. The bride carried an arm bouquet of ophelia roses, sweet peas and ferns. Miss Sadie Gleason was gowned in June rose crepe with embroidered color of filet and her bouquet was of Columbia roses and lavender sprays tied with lavender tulle.

After the service, a group of relatives and friends extended their hearty congratulations in the vestibule of the church. The three course wedding breakfast followed at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, J.W. Gleason and Miss Mary Gleason, of Blairsburg. The rooms were attractively decorated with festoons and hearts, in the brides colors of pink and white. The wedding cake decorated with minature [sic] bride and groom formed the centerpiece of the table at which places were laid for forty guests. The decorations and the table appointments were arranged by Mrs. C.S. Bronson and Mrs. B.A. Walrath. The breakfast was served by the Misses Lucy Henning, Catherine and Cecelia Hines.

The bride is the elder daughter of Mrs. M.J. Gleason and has grown to young womanhood in the community. She finished the local high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. For the past seven years she has been a popular and capable teacher in the Hamilton county schools. She has won for herself many firends [sic] by her gracious personality and charming manner. Mr. Maubach is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Maubach, of Williams. He is a young man whose fine spirit and upright life have made for him a wide circle of friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Maubach left for a two weeks' motor trip which they will spend at various points in Illinois. They will be at home after Sept. 1 on a farm, northwest of Williams.

The heartiest wishes for a long and happy married life are extended to them by their many friends.

Out-of-town guests at the wedding included Miss Maude Gleason, of Freeport, Ill., cousin of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Pyle and daughter, Delores, of Fort Dodge; Miss Melda Davenport, of New Castle, Penn., Mrs. B.A. Walrath and daughter, Kathryn Marlys, of Sioux City.
