Finch-Shillinglaw Wedding at Fayette.

A quiet home wedding Sunday at Fayette, will be of great interest to the many friends of Leonard Shillinglaw, who was married to Miss Frances Finch, daughter of Mrs. W.G. Finch, of Fayette.

The couple, unattended, took their places in the living room, where the single ring service was read by the Rev. John D. Clinton, of the First M.E. church of Fayette, close friend of both bride and bridegroom.

The home was prettily decorated with pink and white, garden flowers and roses, making an effective setting for the service.

The bride was attractive in a dress of pink mouseline de soi, over satin, floor length, and carried a bouquet of talisman roses combined with baby breath and ferns.

Immediately following the wedding, which was held at 4 o'clock, tea was served at daintily appointed tables with Mrs. Dale Finch, of Des Moines, and Mrs. Hollis Finch, of Fayette, pouring. Both ladies are sister-in-laws of the bride.

Mr. Shillinglaw is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Shillinglaw, now of Williams, but formerly of this place.

The bridegroom was graduated from the Blairsburg consolidated school with the class of 1927 and from Upper Iowa college in 1932. Since that time he has held a teaching position at Victor.

The young couple left at once for a brief wedding trip, with Minnesota as their destination. Mr. Shillinglaw has recently accepted a teaching position at New Hampton where he and his bride will be at home after Sept. 1.

Guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Dale Finch, of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Finch, Mrs. W.G. Finch and the Rev. and Mrs. J.D. Clinton, of Fayette; A.E. Manion, of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. A.G. Shillinglaw and son, Clifford and Mrs. J.C. Erton, of Blairsburg.
