The Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated in honor of Mrs. Kathryn Morman Wednesday at 10:30 am from the Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapies. The Pastor, Fr Edward F Carpenter, was celebrant. A rosary was recited Tuesday at 8 pm from the Ohde Funeral Home.
The casket was carried by grandsons and interment was made in the Annunciation Cemetery.
Kathryn Bertha, daughter of Joe and Mary Horbach Trecker, was born December 21, 1890, at Odell, Illinois. As a child the family moved to Templeton where she attended the Sacred Heart school. She was united in marriage with Al J Morman on January 20, 1914. They lived in various communities until moving to Coon Rapids in 1928. Her husband died August 26, 1973.
Kathryn continued to make her home in Coon Rapids until moving to the Thomas Rest Haven about a year ago where she passed away Sunday, July 3, at the age of 86 years, six months and 12 days. She was a member of the Annunciation parish in Coon Rapids.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Alvin in World War 11, and Lawrence in 1964, by one daughter, Alma, 1946, by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by the following children; Clarence Morman, Carroll; Fred Morman, Madan, ND; Leo Morman, West Des Moines, and Leone (Mrs. William) Geiger, Coon Rapids; 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a sister, Leone (Mrs. cliff) Pulver, Bayard, as well as by many other relatives and friends.
